2023 City To Shore

This was a memorable year of many firsts including (see photos below):

• Jason Dickert (Jeff's brother) joining us for his first MS ride also being the first team Shake N Bake rider with an electric bike

• First ever visit from mother in law Tura Dickert joining us at Day 1 mile 25 when said electric bike rider needed forgotten extra batteries

• First rider, Jeff Dickert, to hit their 18th MS CIty to Shore ride

• First ride without Tim Dickert since our team inception. He had a pass due to his wedding being planned the day after the ride!

Day 1 of the ride was a bit of a struggle with both Jeff and Tim Gonzales recovering from bronchitis and also a light rain for the first half the day. As a result we ended up skipping the day 1 century loop leaving us for a weekend total of 150 miles. On day 2 we were blessed with sunshine and comfortable temperatures to finish out the weekend. We plan, depending on our team roster, to make up for the lack of mileage next year with at least a day 1 century but I also heard they have opened a day 2 century we might explore to make up for the slacking this year.
